Kantaro, Otaru

Neta has a large taste, but it is a tourist spot price. If it is over 12,000 yen for two adults, it will not be easy to get out. This price is not even in Tokyo for conveyor belt sushi.

We thought it was delicious. Size of the sushi was excellent.

Food taste good. Staff is friendly. They have English menu also. Visited by their locals. The friend food is cold and they don’t offer shashimi. Only sushi. Nice place to having dinner.

Excellent sushi! We enjoyed a reasonably priced meal with very fresh sushi. The scallops were exceptional. Don't take it off the conveyor belt, order it fresh.

Fresh food in good price and great service

I used it for lunch when I traveled to the Shakotan Peninsula. The location is easy to understand as it is located along the canal. The contents of the store are also satisfying. The sushi story is also big and fresh. The price is high, but it's worth it.

This restaurant is inconspicuously located beside Laox Duty Free shop. Good servings of sushi and extremely friendly waiting staff and sushi chef. Sushi were on “train” or can be placed with the chef through order slips available at the table. Good experience.

Hit this place up for sushi everytime I'm in Otaru. Menu has English description making it easy on foreigners. Conveyor belt style or a la carte menu, tab goes by plate colour. Great place for a quick bite.

Not that good

Value for money conveyor belt sushi restaurant. They have English menu so it is convenient for foreigners. Or you could just take the sushi you want from the conveyor belt. The restaurant is next to Otaru canal so you could go for a walk after dining.

Fresh and reasonable price sushi. Grill sushi set is recommended.

Restaurants around the river close quite early except this one. Sushi is good in general but option is a bit limited as a rotational sushi bar.

Fresh rotarung sushi bar by the canal. Not too cheap compare to city center bars. Great environment though, try it if you never had it.

Good value for the price! We had the salmon nigiri and a chawanmushi. Pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the salmon. Green tea is self-serviced using the matcha powder at the table; just add water! Very convenient and surprisingly spacious. Reminds me of the Sushi bars in Tokyo, except larger and more seats.

I don't think you can come to Otaru sightseeing and eat at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant.It is a good idea to stop by at a location along the canal.For me visiting from western Japan, the story of Hokkaido was very delicious.The advantage of rotation is that you can eat as much as you like with confidence.It became memory of sightseeing in Otaru.

its the sushi stop right after the taxi drops you off at otaru canal. (which is walkable too btw from the station)Key Feature: they cover their sushi with plastic so it stays fresh. Or you can do a call to order.Prices are slightly higher than your typical conveyor belt sushi place; however, the pieces are larger too. Take a look at the pictures!P.S. you can walk diagonally across the street if you prefer donburi bowls!

The quality was very good.The salmon soup was delicious and recommended!If I ate without worrying about the budget, it was more expensive than I imagined.It was the evening, but it was vacant so I took it slowly.

Stale sea urchin and crab meat... The poor taste destroyed my fantasy about fresh seafood in Japan. It was such a nightmare that I will never go back to this restaurant again!

It was very delicious.I entered the store around noon, but the seats were quite vacant and I was immediately informed.However, because the ceiling of the parking lot (semi-underground) was low, we recommend another parking lot for high roof cars.

A pretty standard Kaiten sushi place, well organised with a short wait (the first place I have ever been asked to choose how long I will need the table before they tell me which queue to join!) A little expensive.

I first frequented this Sushi restaurant by the side of the tourist spot on May 8, 2018. One reason was to stay in Otaru a little bit longer. I found food quality, eating environment and service were good and I got what I paid for!Postscript On December 13, 2018, I brought my younger son here and we ordered quite a lot. We finished our stay here in 30 minutes as we had to catch an express train to the Chitose Airport. There, the advertisement of a restaurant caught his eyes and I reminded him that we had just frequented its Otaru branch!

Hokkaido's popular sushi sushi, most particularly sushi rice is hot.

Sushi is fresh and good. You can find them at the New Chitose airport gourmet world too. Must try their house speciality.

Loved the sushi here, good value for money and extremely fresh. Staff was friendly and helpful too. The hotate were the best I’ve eaten in a while.
